Company Profiles

Click the info button on any company in your Company Hub — or a company's name in Similar Companies suggestions — and TelepersonLens opens a full profile page for that company inside the panel. Press the back arrow to return to where you were.

What's on the page

• About — an AI-generated company profile (what they do, products, and key facts), generated once and cached; it refreshes only when you press the refresh icon. Plus a summary from Wikipedia (with attribution) when one exists.
• Key metrics — for public companies, fundamentals from Alpha Vantage: market cap, revenue (TTM), gross profit, EBITDA, profit margin, revenue growth, P/E, EPS, analyst target, 52-week range, and dividend yield. (Requires an Alpha Vantage key in Admin → General; hidden otherwise.)
• Key facts — industry, headquarters, employee range, revenue range, founding year, and the customer-service phone number, shown only when we actually know them.
• Stock — for publicly traded companies, the ticker, current price, and a six-month trend, with a link to the company's SEC filings.
• Financial highlights — latest annual revenue and net income for public companies, straight from their 10-K filings.
• Recent news — for public companies, the latest headlines with source, date, and sentiment, linking out to each article. (Requires an Alpha Vantage key in Admin → General; hidden otherwise.)
• Reports & filings — recent SEC filings straight from EDGAR: annual reports (10-K), quarterly reports (10-Q), material events (8-K), and proxy statements. Each links to the official document on sec.gov. Free, and shown for any US-listed public company.
• Subsidiaries — see below.
• Similar companies — the same suggestions you see elsewhere; clicking one opens its profile.
• Actions — visit the site, call support, or follow the company to add it to your Hub.

Each section loads independently and simply doesn't appear when there's nothing to show — a small private company might show only About and actions, while a large public company gets the full picture.

Subsidiaries

Every U.S. public company lists its significant subsidiaries in Exhibit 21 of its annual 10-K filing with the SEC. TelepersonLens reads that exhibit directly from SEC EDGAR and shows you the list — each subsidiary's name and where it's incorporated — with a View filing link to the original document.

Three cases:

• Public company with subsidiaries — you see the list. For example, Lowe's lists Lowe's Home Centers, LLC and Foundation Building Materials, Inc.
• Public company with none — SEC rules let companies omit insignificant subsidiaries, and some (like Chewy) report none at all. The section stays hidden.
• Private company — we search EDGAR's full-text index to see whether a public company's Exhibit 21 lists it. If a verified match is found, you see a "Subsidiary of …" note instead — useful for knowing who actually owns the brand you're dealing with.

SEC data is free and public; no API key is involved. Results are cached for a week (10-Ks are annual filings, so the list rarely changes).

Where the data comes from

We never send anything about you to these services — lookups contain only the company's name.
