Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions Teleperson users ask most often.
Short answers to the questions that come up most. Each one links to a fuller explanation in the relevant section.
Is my browsing data stored on Teleperson's servers?
No. The content script reads page metadata only when you have the side panel open, and only sends a small digest (URL, title, OG tags) to our backend when it needs to identify a new company. Page bodies, form input, authenticated content, and cookies never reach our servers. Full details: Security & privacy.
Does Teleperson have access to my bank credentials?
No. When you link a bank or card via Plaid, your credentials go directly to Plaid in their hosted UI. Teleperson receives an access token after Plaid has authenticated you — and the token is AES-256-GCM-encrypted at rest. Full details: Plaid Purchases.
Can the AI place a phone call or send a chat message on my behalf?
The Voice Concierge speaks and listens during a call you initiate, but it never takes binding actions like cancelling subscriptions, changing payments, or modifying contracts. The Chat Co-pilot drafts each message to a company's chatbot, but only sends after you click Send. Full details: Voice Concierge, Chat Co-pilot.
What does Teleperson cost?
There's a Free tier with quotas (limited follows, limited Ask AI calls per day) and a paid Pro tier with unlimited features. Enterprise pricing is custom. The latest pricing is on the main marketing site.
Why do I need both the extension and a web account?
The web account is your identity (email, plan, billing). The extension is
your daily-use surface (the side panel). They share state through
Supabase. You can sign up either way; you only need both when you want to
issue an extension token from /ConnectExtension.
Can I use Teleperson without signing up?
Not at the moment. The extension needs a token to talk to the backend, and tokens are issued from your account. Free-tier signup takes about 30 seconds.
Does Teleperson work on mobile?
Currently desktop only — Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, and Firefox. A mobile version isn't on the near-term roadmap; the side panel UX depends on desktop-class screen real estate.
What data is shared across users?
The catalog (company names, domains, AI Overviews, Verified Call Trees, Similar Companies) is shared globally — every new user benefits from prior users' enrichment. Your personal data (followed companies, profile, purchase history, conversations) is RLS-scoped to you and never visible to other users.
How do I delete my account?
Email support@teleperson.com. We delete user accounts within 30 days of request, including all linked Plaid data, vendor account data, extension tokens, and audit log entries (audit log retention is a legal requirement; we anonymize rather than fully delete those, with the user ID replaced by a tombstone).
Where do I report bugs?
For bugs, email support@teleperson.com. For security issues specifically, use security@teleperson.com — see Responsible disclosure.
What browsers are supported?
- Chromium: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc — all current versions.
- Firefox: current ESR and stable.
Mobile browsers and Safari are not supported.
